Roanoke family gets new home from Habitat for Humanity
ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - A Roanoke family gets the keys to their new home.
The Basnet family was handed the keys to their new home Saturday.
They left Bhutan because of political conditions and moved to Nepal before then settling in the Roanoke Valley.
They are happy to have a home in a safe neighborhood, where they can live with their parents and three kids.
Jharma Basnet says, "I am so excited to have a room to myself. I am so grateful. I'm very happy along with my family."
This is the 207th home dedication for the Roanoke Valley Chapter of Habitat.
