Samaritan's Purse sends supplies to flood victims

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. VA. (WSLS 10) - Samaritan's Purse, an international Christian relief organization, deployed disaster relief experts to White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia this weekend in response to the deadly flooding.

Samaritan's Purse personnel surveyed the damage Saturday via helicopter and on the ground, to assess how Samaritan's Purse will be responding to the needs of flooded communities in the area in the coming days.

A team of crisis-trained chaplains from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's Rapid Response Team has also been deployed to the disaster area. They are working alongside Samaritan's Purse to provide emotional and spiritual encouragement to flood victims and responders.
