Pulaski County courthouse to get renovations
PULASKI (WSLS 10) - Changes are coming soon to the Pulaski County courthouse, ones that leaders hope will make it safer.
The county has put together a plan to add another courtroom, four new holding cells, a separate entrance for defendants and other general repairs.
Implementing these changes will cost roughly a quarter of a million dollars. The board of supervisors said this will be one of its top priorities for the coming year because it will strengthen security.
The timeline has not yet been set, but leaders said they hope to get started with construction soon.
