VINTON (WSLS 10) - One man in the Roanoke Valley is hosting a Strongman Competition to raise money for Angels of Assisi.
Organizer Chad Clark said he wanted to help the non profit.
About 40 people have registered for the event planned at Lancerlot Family Fitness Center in Vinton.
"To be able to do a fundraiser for a group such as angels is combining the two things I love the most strength sports have been a huge part of my life, for literally over the last decade and a half I've always been an avid animal lover I was a volunteer at Angels of Assisi from time to time," Clark said.
Clark said the event is free and there will be free food, however he is asking for a small donation.
The Strongman Competition will Saturday July 23.
