Roanoke (WSLS 10) - ColorsVA magazine celebrated its one year anniversary on Saturday. A celebration was held at the Spot On Kirk. The magazine features diverse stories ranging from Nepalese refugees to the music scene in Lynchburg.

Publishers said they've had a good first year and continue to see readership grow. ColorsVA is the only monthly multicultural publication in the Roanoke valley and surrounding areas. Organizers said they hope to educate and cultivate mutual respect among various cultures and ethnicities.

Senator John Edwards, Roanoke Mayor Sherman Lea and other local leaders attended the celebration event.
