Henry Co. Deputies: man arrested after police chase

HENRY CO. (WSLS 10) A man is in jail after deputies say he led them on a chase in Henry County.

Deputies say they tried to pull over William Rea, 32, who was driving with fake tags on Bowles Rd, but he took off. Due to Rea's excessive speed, the sheriff's department put out spike strips to stop him.

Once the vehicle was stopped, deputies say Rea ran away, but deputies were able to catch him and take him into custody.

Rea is at the Henry County Jail without bond.

William Bradley Rea was charged with the following:

Felony Elude a Class 6 Felony

Suspended Operator's License a Class 1 Misdemeanor

Possess with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine a Felony

Possess Marijuana a Class 1 Misdemeanor

Improper Registration

Possess Improper or Fictitious Tag a Class 1 Misdemeanor
