Two hurt in Augusta County shooting
AUGUSTA COUNTY - A 27-year-old Virginia man is facing charges in connection to a shooting that hurt two people in Augusta County.
According to the sheriff's office Matt Wimer faces several charges.
Deputies say he fired a gun into a car shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, on Carson Mill Road in Steeles Tavern.
The car had three women and a baby inside.
The women drove to the Pilot truck stop on Oakland Circle in Raphine after the shooting.
Deputies say the baby was cut with glass from the car window while a woman is recovering in the hospital with a head injury.
Both are expected to be ok.
Deputies say it was a domestic dispute.
