ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Police have arrested a man in connection to Friday's shooting on Oakland Boulevard in Roanoke.

21-year-old Shakeem Malik Hunt, of Roanoke, turned himself in to the Roanoke Police Department on Tuesday at 3:31 p.m.

He has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony and was taken to Roanoke City Jail.

The shooting took place on Friday in the 2400 block of Oakland Boulevard at about 4:05 p.m.

The victim was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial hospital for treatment.
