Agar has served the department since September 2011 and was handled by Officers D.W. Stump and N.R. Godsie during his career.
He has not only been responsible for the safety of his two handlers, but for all members of the LPD on patrol and the citizens of the greater Lynchburg area.
Agar has always been eager to do his job and has been a loyal partner, according to the police department.
