SMYTH COUNTY (WSLS 10) - One person is confirmed dead in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday.
Police say they responded to a crash in Smyth County involving two pedestrians, at 8:50 a.m.

The two were hit by a pickup truck in the 500 block of Knight Road and soon after the driver of the truck drove away.
One of the pedestrians was flown to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment after he suffered what police say are serious injuries.
