McAuliffe: Hokies will win Battle at Bristol, Tennessee governor responds
BRISTOL (WSLS 10) - A friendly wager has ensued between the governors of Virginia and Tennessee over the upcoming Battle at Bristol.
After Governor Terry McAuliffe said the Hokies would beat the Volunteers, the Tennessee governor responded.
Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam said, "I have seen that and I'm totally surprised that he'd have that kind of audaity. I've known him for a while and like most politiciains that are north of Tennessee, he talks a lot better game than he plays. So we feel really confident with what will happen and that he's going to be sending some Virginia products to Tennessee after we win."
That game is next Saturday night and you can catch our Battle at Bristol special next Thursday at 7 p.m., right here on WSLS 10.
