ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - A jury found a Roanoke man was guilty of second-degree murder on Wednesday.

Ronald White, 43, was charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of 58-year-old David Bourhill.

White was initially charged with first-degree murder, but that was later downgraded.

In October 2015, Roanoke police say White showed up at their department indicating something bad had happened, telling them he was involved in a homicide on Signal Hill Avenue NW.

The jury recommended White spend 40 years in prison.

His sentencing hearing has been set for December 13 at 11 a.m.
