CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) -- The 64-year-old man accused of exposing himself in a Christiansburg Goodwill store was in court on Thursday morning.

The court appointed a Blacksburg lawyer to represent Jack Lewis.

The Floyd County man is charged with actual or simulated masturbation in public and indecent exposure, both misdemeanors.

Lewis was arrested and charged Wednesday afternoon following an incident police say took place at the Goodwill in Christiansburg on August 26.

The alleged incident happened at 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to a town spokeswoman. Witnesses reported seeing a man in the store expose himself. Children were in the store at the time; however, no child was reported to have seen the indecent exposure, she said. Officers were also able to review store surveillance video.

Lewis was granted a $5,000 secured bond on the two charges. He's being held in the Montgomery County Jail.

His trial is set for October 25 at 9:30 am.
