Pittsylvania Co. Sheriff's Office makes arrests in shooting, gun store burglary

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Two people are in jail in connection to a shooting.

Trevon Saunders, 18, and a juvenile have been arrested, according to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a home on Bennie Drive on August 15 and found Wallace Saunders shot multiple times.

He was taken to Carilion for treatment.

The sheriff's office does expect to make more arrests, but did not provide any further details on Thursday about the shooting.

In an unrelated incident, Jarrett Madison Rivens is in jail in North Carolina awaiting extradition for the burglary of Old Dominion Guns & Tackle Shop in Danville on September 13.

According to the sheriff's office, the store was heavily damaged as a result of the burglary and several guns were stolen.

The sheriff's office did not say where in North Carolina Rivens is being held, or what specific charges he faces, but did say that more arrests are expected.
