Christiansburg Police find the three missing high school students

The three missing teens have been located and are safe, according to a release sent by the Christiansburg Police Department on Wednesday night.

CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) -  The Christiansburg Police Department is searching for three missing Christiansburg High School students whose parents say they didn't come home from school on Monday.

Jordan Twiggs, Alexis Coward and Kayla Swortzel, all 14 years old, left school after classes were dismissed and police say they got off the bus near Swallow Lane in Montgomery County.

According to their parents, the teens had talked about living together near a river.

Several officers and detectives are searching a number of areas in the county.
