Nanny cam captures abuse of 4-year-old with special needs

WLEX – LEXINGTON, Ky (WLEX) - A Lexington, Kentucky woman is facing charges after allegedly abusing a 4-year-old boy with special needs left in her care.

Tiffany Fields' 4-year-old son Luke has Down's Syndrome, heart defects, and epilepsy.

He needs constant care, so Tiffany said that a woman from a local home health care service, Lillian D. White, started watching Luke back in June.

The family's attorney, Dale Golden, said that they noticed behavior changes with Luke, so Tiffany set up a nanny cam.

"Once she looked at it, to her shock, she saw that her child was not only being physically abused but also verbally abused," said Golden.

Golden said that in part of the video, you can White sitting on Luke's chest for a few minutes as she changed his diaper. He said that they video also captured the caretaker dragging the four-year-old before changing his diaper, she is also seen flipping the child on the floor.

Golden said that the nanny cam shows that while sitting on Luke, White said, "You little s***. This is what we're going to do. We're going to do it my way."
