DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Since Sunday, God's Pit Crew has sent 10 tractor trailers, filled with water, Blessing Buckets and relief supplies to some of the hardest hit areas affected by Hurricane Matthew.

The cities we have delivered hope and relief to so far are Conway, South Carolina (Three truckloads); Fayetteville, North Carolina (Two truckloads); Lumberton, North Carolina (Two truckloads); Smithfield, North Carolina (One truckload); Whiteville, North Carolina (One truckload) and Andrews, South Carolina (One truckload).

As the supplies and Blessing Buckets we have in our warehouse are quickly depleting, the phone calls and requests for help continue to increase.

"Just to hear the pleas and the cries for help. We've had so many churches and people that we know along the coast that we've worked with before calling in and saying it's really bad," said God's Pit Crew President Randy Johnson.

As of Tuesday, the God's Pit Crew warehouse has no bottled water or Blessing Buckets, which are two of the most needed items in the affected areas.

In addition to truckloads of relief and hope being sent to North Carolina and South Carolina, the group's first response team will leave this Thursday morning, heading to Conway, South Carolina. The team will assist in cutting down fallen trees and other clean-up efforts.
