Round Town: outdoors and bugs

(WSLS 10) - Roanoke is home to the Go Outside Festival this weekend. This free event lets you get outside and enjoy a lot of activities including BMX trails, slackline demonstrations, a rock climbing wall and more. The festival is Friday through Sunday at the River's Edge Sports Complex.

The Berglund Center is home to the Craftsmen's Fall Classic. Hundreds of artists and craftsmen from across the country will set up, showing off their work. Admission is free with a food donation to Feeding America Southwest Virginia. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Head to the New River Valley for the Radford Craft and Draft. Enjoy arts and crafts, live entertainment, food and craft beer. It's Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on 3rd Avenue. Admission is a one dollar donation to Help Save the Next Girl.

Enjoy the Wings of Freedom Tour at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. You'll see four fully restored vintage planes from World War Two. Admission to the celebration is free. You can get an up-close tour of the place for $12. The tour arrives around 1:30 p.m. on Friday and will be on display until 4:30 p.m. The display is open again on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Head to Blacksburg for Hokie BugFest. There will be many exhibits including honey bees and other pollinators, as well as the bug whisperer, and the Alberti Flea Circus. It's Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Inn at Virginia Tech, Skelton Conference Center.
