Members of the State Treasury Department are here, waiting to take your calls and reunite you with your money. You can also check online if our phone bank is busy.
The treasury department gave us exclusive access to their secure vault in Richmond where all of the money and valuables are stored.
There are millions and millions of dollars worth of items in there you wouldn't believe.
We are talking items like jewelry, gold, silver, antique coins, and brand new items like iPads, computers, and game systems.
Bill Dadmun, Records and Receipts manager said, "One guy in particular, the safe deposit box had contents or items that had belonged to his recently deceased wife. He teared up so much. It was a bit sad and melancholy, but rewarding to us to make sure that he got his property back."
So that's just a testament to the work they do, and why it's so important to help you get back your belongings.
