BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - The Fralin Life Science Institute celebrated two decades on Virginia Tech's campus on Friday.
The school started with one building and eight scientists. Now, it has four buildings, more than 100 scientists and hundreds of students.
The institute is considered a national leader in the study of the Zika virus, water quality and obesity trends.
The institute will also partner closely with the up and coming health district in Roanoke.
