17-year-old hurt after crash leaves nearly 900 without power in Henry County

UPDATE: Police say the accident happened at 5 a.m., in the 6900 block of Stone Dairy Road in Bassett.

A 17-year-old boy driver and another juvenile passenger were traveling in an SUV  that flipped and hit a power pole.

The 17-year-old driver transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

HENRY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Hundreds of  Appalachian Power customers are without power in Henry County due to a crash.

It happened around 5 a.m., along the 6900 block of Stones Dairy Road.

It appears a silver SUV hit a power pole.

There is no word on injuries and Appalachian Power reports that close to 900 customers are in the dark.

Crews expect power to be restored by 5 p.m.
