ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The Roanoke Diversity Center has expanded its facility by more than twice its size.
This comes after the organizations said more groups are using the space for activities.
The expanded facility will have two large media rooms, and a library with about 3,000 new, rare and historic LGBT books.
"It's going to allow a lot more groups to meet. We're sort of booming with people, groups wanting to meet here. Before we didn't have enough space, now that we have extra room and we have the library, we will be able to have a lot more groups," says Joshua Olinger with the Roanoke Diversity Center.
The center is holding a grand re-opening on Saturday at 4 p.m.
There will be live music, a tour of the new rooms and a presentation about all the center offers.
