Sheriff's Office: Five arrested after being pulled over in stolen vehicle in Amherst County

AMHERST COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office arrested several individuals on Wednesday as a result of a traffic stop.

At about 3 p.m., a deputy stopped a 2012 Chrysler 300 traveling on Route 29 for reckless driving for driving 90 mph in a 60 mph zone.

It was determined that the vehicle was stolen from North Carolina and all five occupants were detained, according to the sheriff's office.

The group may have traveled to other areas of Virginia and used falsified North Carolina Operator’s License to obtain money and other goods with personal information of others purchased online.

All of the subjects were transported to the Amherst Adult Detention Center where they are being held without bond. This incident is still under investigation and additional charges may be pending.

As a result of the investigation the following individuals, all from Charlotte, N.C., have been charged with conspiracy to commit a larceny.

In addition to that one charge, Ashley Eleanor Shively, 19, faces two counts of identity theft; Fabio Rozello Jimmie Wolfe, 24, faces one count of possession of stolen property; Nykira Diamond Denaesha Spain, 19, faces four counts of identity theft; Korderius Lamonte Worley, 25, faces one count of possession of stolen property, one count of no operator’s license and reckless driving by speed.

and Brandon Khalil Covington, 25, was only charged with conspiracy to commit a larceny.

Spain was wanted for offenses in Hanover and South Carolina.
