ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Demolition of a long-vacant office building in Roanoke County is underway. Crews began the process Thursday at the building along Electric Road near Panera Bread and the Tanglewood Mall.
The parent company of LewisGale Hospital bought the three-story structure for $2.5 million.
A permit was filed to turn the property into a one-story emergency department.
LewisGale will release more information about construction next week.
