UVA spending $10 million on research equipment

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WSLS 10) - The Board of Visitors at the University of Virginia approves spending $10 million for new research equipment.

The money will come from the school's multi-billion dollar Strategic Investment Fund.

The money will be used for buying basic and state of the art equipment for its engineering department.

This is the 22nd proposal that the board has approved totaling $170 million.
