Man sentenced for selling cocaine in Radford

RADFORD, Va. (WSLS 10) - A 31-year-old man will spend the next decade in prison after being convicted of a drug distribution charge on Monday.

In late 2015, Radford City Police targeted an investigation to buy drugs specifically from Jazzman Edmonds.

On January 27, 2016, a confidential informant purchased less than one gram of cocaine from Edmonds. This was his third-offense distribution of cocaine.

He was convicted and sentenced by plea agreement to 40 years with 30 years suspended. He will be on probation for 10 years after release and forfeited $8,290 dollars police seized when arresting him.

In 2005, Edmonds was caught selling cocaine twice back in Pulaski County. He was convicted of two distributions and spent two years in prison.
