ROANOKE (WSLS) - More than 100 students from Round Hill Elementary School toured the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport for Career Day.
On Tuesday, the students received a first-hand look into possible future careers.
They visited the Piedmont Maintenance Facility, the terminals, checked out incoming flights and asked aviation-related questions.
"I've been learning how to fly. I'm learning what they make to go on an airplane and also I'm learning how to work the engine," says Khamari Johnson, a student at Round Hill Elementary.
The students also learned what's involved when boarding an airplane.
