ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The Roanoke Technical Education Center held its tenth annual Extravaganza Thursday evening.
The program serves both high schools in Roanoke City, offering nearly a dozen different technical courses. The event celebrates the work of ROTEC students while raising money for supplies and scholarships. It featured a silent auction, dinner and student testimonials.
Our very own Eric Johnson is a graduate of the program and spoke at the event.
$5,500 in scholarships were awarded tonight while $3,800 was raised in the silent auction.
