For first time ever Crayola is getting rid of a crayon color

NEW YORK (NBC5) – Pennsylvania-based Crayola will retire a color from its famous 24-count crayon box.

The company says it will retire one of the colors in a ceremony on March 31, which is National Crayon Day in the United States.

The current colors in a Crayola box are red, yellow, blue, brown, orange, green, violet, black, carnation pink, yellow orange, blue green, red violet, red orange, yellow green, blue violet, white, violet red, dandelion, cerulean, apricot, scarlet, green yellow, indigo and gray.

So which color will leave the iconic yellow box?

Well, Crayola wants your help deciding which color will say goodbye. Using the hashtag 'WhosLeaving,' social media users can voice their support for their favorite Crayola color.
