WYTHE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Wythe County Board of Supervisors announced on Tuesday that it's budgeted money to be used to renovate George Wythe High School.
The board offered to budget $10 million, plus architecture & engineering costs, to renovate the school at their meeting with school board officials last week.
The school superintendent has been presented with the recommendation and according to Jeremy TK Farley with Wythe County, the proposal has been forwarded to the school board.
Farley also said the county is eager to move forward with the project and intends to include these costs in the 2018 fiscal year budget.
