Lynchburg man charged with making bomb threats against courthouses
LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Lynchburg police have arrested a man who they say made two bomb threats on Thursday morning.
Timothy Zachariah Santiago, 22. now faces two counts of threatening to bomb a building.
At about 9:07 a.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to both Lynchburg General District Court and Lynchburg Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for a suspected bomb threat.
The threat was called in to the 911 communications center of the Lynchburg Department of Emergency Services, according to police.
The caller also made bomb threats to the Charlotte Courthouse, Va - General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.
After procedures were followed and the scenes were determined to be safe, officers and detectives were able to identify and locate Santiago, the suspected caller.
He is currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail with no bond.
