ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A family of three was displaced after a house fire in Roanoke County.
Crews were called to the 6300 block of Back Creek Road at about 6:30 Friday morning.
When the first crews arrived, they reported smoke showing from the front of a two-story wood frame house.
The family was reported to be out of the home.
Firefighters from the Clearbrook, Mount Pleasant, and Cave Spring stations were able to contain the flames to one room on the second floor, along with some extension of flames to the attic space.
Crews say a couple and their granddaughter live in the house and all escaped without injury. The couple awoke to the smoke alarms sounding and immediately woke their granddaughter up and all exited the home and called 911.
Crews say no one was injured.
