Franklin County Sheriff's Office investigating multiple furniture thefts

FRANKLIN CO. (WSLS 10) - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating several reports of recently stolen outdoor furniture.

According to investigators, the first theft happened between March 24 and March 25 at True Organic Bistro at 130 Scruggs Road. A three piece patio set was taken. Then on March 27, wicker furniture was stolen from 430 Firstwatch Drive near the YMCA. The third incident happened on March 29 at the General Store at 213 Scruggs Road. Investigators say two chairs attached to the porch were stolen.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, all the furniture went missing during the nighttime hours.

Sheriff Overton has placed additional patrols in the area and investigators are looking at video from nearby businesses.

The Sheriff's Office is encouraging residents and business owners to secure outdoor furniture by bringing it inside or placing it in a spot where it can be monitored by security cameras or alarms.
