PULASKI, Va. – The Pulaski Yankees are teaming up with OneMain Financial to help give back to the community.

On Saturday, August 5, at Calfee Park, the two organizations will be helping Pulaksi Daily Bread, a nonprofit that serves free lunch to anyone who is hungry.

Food City will be selling $5 bags of groceries people can buy, which will be donated to Pulaski Daily Bread.

Each person who purchases a bag of groceries will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win $1,000 from OneMain Financial.

Pulaski Daily Bread serves nearly 200 people every day during the summer months.

“Daily Bread has fought this battle for the last 30 years -- to make sure individuals in our community who are in need have one nourishing meal per day,” said Daily Bread Program Director Debra Harrell in a press release.

Pulaski Daily Bread is located in the basement of the First Presbyterian Church on Jefferson Avenue.
