Roanoke police now believe missing woman did not choose to leave

ROANOKE, Va. – The Roanoke Police Department now believes a missing woman did not leave on her own accord.

Police asked for the public's help last Thursday to find 38-year-old Edme Merle-Perez. 

Detectives still have not been able to locate her, after conducting numerous interviews and executing several search warrants involving items belonging to Merle-Perez. 

Police say 38-year-old Edme Merle-Perez, of Roanoke, was last seen March 3 and was reported missing to police by her family on March 27. 

The investigation is ongoing.
