The 21st Annual Tug for Tots raises money to support the Child Health Investment Partnership of Roanoke Valley.
Local companies pay a $1,000 to enter the tug of war competition.
The organization provides free health care to children ages six and under living in low income households.
“We are helping not use emergency room, access to primary care physician, get their immunizations, managing children with asthma, we're helping families feel supported," explained Robin Haldiman, CHIP Roanoke Valley CEO.
The annual event has raised $435,000 for CHIP over the past 20 years.
