Here's a look at some of the stories we'll be following today


Flashback Friday comes to Dr. Pepper Park tonight.  The Dave Matthews Tribute Band will play the set list that was performed at Victory Stadium in April 1998.  Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the gate. 

Southside Electric Cooperative holds its annual Opportunity Fund Golf Classic today.  Proceeds from the tournament go for scholarships.  Last year, the event raised $14,000. 

Take in a baseball game in Martinsville starting today.  Hooker Field is the home of the Division I Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament for the National Club Baseball Association.  Games run through Sunday.  Admission starts at $5.

Pittsylvania County Community Action Agency holds Community Awareness Day.  The agency works to increase awareness about poverty and way to eliminate it.  The event includes information about community services, lunch and activities for children.

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research holds the Institute for Family STEM Night.  Families will explore STEM with hands-on magnetic slime, electric gelatin and video games.  The U.S. Department of Education says that not enough youth have access to quality STEM learning opportunities.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of the Roanoke Valley holds a Mental Health Community Resource Fair today.  Information session will take place for parents, caregivers and family members of those suffering from mental illness.  The fair runs from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Brambleton Center.
