Volunteers needed for Deschutes Brewery Street Pub

Volunteers needed for Street Pub event coming up on July 15

ROANOKE, Va. – Deschutes Brewery is bringing its Street Pub back to Roanoke, and the city needs your help to put on the event.

Roanoke Outside is looking for hundreds of volunteers to work shifts at the July 15 event.

The first kegs will be tapped at 2 p.m. Last call happens at 10 p.m. Volunteers are being asked to work a four to five-hour shift, but there is a reward for all your hard work.

“Anyone who does the later shifts, which are usually harder to fill, from like 5:30 to 10 or so, they actually walk away with a six-pack of Deschutes beer at the end. It's a little incentive there for people to come on the late shifts,” says Julia Boas, events manager for the Roanoke Outside Foundation.

Last year, the Street Pub raised $81,000 for local nonprofits. This year, the featured nonprofits are Blue Ridge Land Conservancy, Bradley Free Clinic, Pathfinders for Greenways and Roanoke Outside.
