DANVILLE, Va. – A man was hit by a train on Monday afternoon in Danville, according to the Danville Police Department.
Police say the 25-year-old pedestrian was hit at the Wooding Avenue railroad crossing.

He was taken to Danville Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Roanoke for further treatment, according to police.
