STUART Va. – A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Patrick County.
Virginia State Police say it happened at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, on Route 58 at an intersection with Big Ivy Lane in Stuart.

Police said David Michael Garlock, 61, of Mooresville, NC was riding a motorcycle west on Route 58 when he crossed the center line of the roadway and crashed into a car that was traveling east on Route 58.
Police say Garlock was wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
Police said the car was driven by Meredith Martin, 21, of Spencer, Va.
She was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured in the crash.
Police say there are no pending charges, and the crash remains under investigation.
