Woman disguises dog as baby, smuggles into hospital to visit sick grandma

A 21-year-old California woman pretended a dog was a baby by wrapping it in a blanket and cradling it in her arms, so she could sneak it into a hospital for the dog to visit her sick grandmother, according to NBC 4 Los Angeles.

Shelby Hennick's grandmother had to be hospitalized a few days ago after a bad reaction to a medication, according to multiple reports.

The NBC affiliate reported the ill woman desperately wanted to see her dog, and Hennick, a veterinary technician, according to her Twitter bio, wanted to make it happen.

"We made it," Hennick tweeted. Her tweet has gone viral, with more than 533,000 likes and 126,000 retweets since it was posted on Sunday.
