White Sulphur Springs community honoring those affected by last year's floods

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS WVa. – The White Sulphur Springs community is honoring those lost and affected by last year's historic flood. 


This weekend, the city is hosting a multitude of events, from park dedications to live music to a non-denominational worship service. 


Rebekah Sams with Main Street White Sulphur Springs, "I really hope that people take away an even greater sense of hope than they have right now. It's been a hard year but it's been a good year. We have really shown how we as a community are coming together. "

Friday, June 23

Dedication of the 2016 Flood Memorial

Memorial service

Reading of the names of those who perished

4:00 pm Ribbon Cutting for Nicely Park

4:30 pm Ribbon Cutting for the Brad Paisley Community Park

with a Community Picnic with food provided by 50 East Restaurant

Saturday, June 24

8 am - 2 pm Free Golf Outing for the residents of Caldwell and White Sulphur Spring

Valley View Golf Course

10 am - 2 pm Open House - Fish Hatchery

10:30 am - 2 pm Family Day
