Officials searching for woman last seen at Halifax County store

HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. – Officials are searching for a woman who was last seen Saturday evening at Cody Store in Halifax County.

Emma Compton Layne, 52, is described as white, 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 135 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes and has visible scars on her arms.
