ROANOKE, Va. – The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission has announced a new service that allows customers to search for the best fares on the internet when planning a trip.

The commission is now offering a booking service that compares fares from multiple airlines on one page, officials said. A customer can enter the destination and dates of travel by visiting flyroa.com/book-trip.

Officials said the site will aggregate available fares and show the best price from all travel-booking websites and airlines that serve the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. The page also offers hotel bookings and car rental services.

"The commission understands customers today are price-conscious and have a busy lifestyle," said Timothy T. Bradshaw, an accredited airport executive and the executive director of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission. "This service allows today's travelers to book directly from the airport's website and compare fares in one easy step."

Officials said the commission provides an online community of vendors to streamline the customer's search for travel products. The booking system searches the lowest fares from all competitive booking systems in the industry.
