Police investigating possible armed robbery at Roanoke convenience store

Robbery happened early Tuesday morning

Roanoke police say these are the three people they're searching for.

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke police are searching for three people after a possible armed robbery early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the Speedway Mart on Orange Avenue NE at 1:34 a.m.

A clerk told police that three people entered the store and one person pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.

After taking cash from the register, the three ran out of the store, according to police.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Police say that the description of these three matches the description of the suspects who robbed the Shell station in the 2900 block of Edgewood Street SW on June 24. No one was hurt in that incident either.
