RICHMOND, Va. – A Richmond man says the American flag on the front porch of his home was burned to a crisp, in the middle of the night, and the whole thing was caught on surveillance video.
As the security camera video shows, a person walked up to the porch and reached for the flagpole.
The homeowner said at first it looked like the suspect tried to remove the flag but was unable to.
Then he reached into his pocket, pulled out a lighter and set the flag on fire, leaving as the flag continues to burn.
Police are aware of the incident and are investigating.
