Lynchburg Salvation Army welcomes new leaders

Captains Trey and Sheri Jones come to Lynchburg from Fredericksburg, Virginia

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Salvation Army of Greater Lynchburg, welcomes Captains Trey and Sheri Jones as its new leaders.

Most recently, they served as captains in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

As children of Salvation Army officers, they have lived all across the United States and have a passion for service and a love of ministry.

Currently, Capt.Trey Jones is the incident commander for all disasters in the National Capital and Virginia Division of The Salvation Army. 

“We are so excited to be able to serve the Greater Lynchburg community,” stated Trey. “This community is beautiful both in scenery and heart. We are excited about partnering with others to not only combat poverty and homelessness, but to also improve the quality of life for those we serve in His name.”

Previously, the Joneses developed youth programs, female leadership groups and community music programs.
