Lynchburg man dies after being shot multiple times

Police say Phineas Neville's death is under investigation


Lynchburg police say a man died early Sunday morning after being shot multiple times.

Officers found Phineas Rufus Neville, 28, of Lynchburg when they responded to a call at 303 Rivermont Avenue around 1:07 a.m. Sunday. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

The Lynchburg Police Department says the investigation is ongoing.
