Police: Search continues for Lee County man last seen June 30

Man poses credible threat to his health and safety, police say


LEE COUNTY, Va. – The search continues for the Lee County man who was last seen June 30, 2017, and is the subject of an ongoing Virginia Senior Alert.

Virginia State Police personnel spent much of the holiday weekend conducting ground searches to assist the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in its efforts to locate Clayton R. Baird, 81, of Pennington Gap, Va.

Baird was last seen at his residence wearing a blue denim jacket, blue jeans, black boots and a black baseball hat with an eagle on it.

He is a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair.

He suffers from a cognitive impairment and he may be facing a credible threat to his health and safety, which is the reason for the Virginia Senior Alert activation.
