Woman spends over $500 on meal for California firefighters

COLTON, Calif. – Firefighters who spent their day fighting wildfires in La Lorna Hills, California, Saturday got a big thank you from a woman who was dining near them.

The city of Colton Fire Department posted on their Facebook page that 25 of its firefighters stopped by a Denny's restaurant after battling the wildfires when an anonymous woman offered to pay for their dinner.

After tip, the bill came out to more than $400. The department said the woman then went on to spend another $100 on dessert for the firefighters.
